![]() ![]() ![]() To quote my niece – “This is disgusting.” Dead Space began in 2008, extending into a trilogy that followed the tribulations of mechanic Issac Clarke. Much of that dark, dripping atmosphere is covered within 2013’s The Art of Dead Space. It’s foundations are in the depths of both cinema and literature. It can be described with such a simple term such as “dark”. When EA Visceral created Dead Space, which is described as “Resident Evil in Space”, following a line of hardcore third person games by this company, its Staff can’t help but often comment about how the game’s goal is to trigger the claustrophobic senses within an unknown world. What is more disturbing than a twisted nursery rhyme? Easily one of the best openings in any video game, least to my standards. ![]()
